Former British No. 1 Greg Rusedski thinks Novak Djokovic is “angry” ahead of Wimbledon as not winning a Grand Slam yet in 2022 probably doesn't sit well with the Serb. Djokovic, 35, is having a very challenging season and Rafael Nadal now has two more Grand Slams than the Serb.
Djokovic was hoping to start his season at the Australian Open but he was deported from the country because of his vaccination status. At the French Open, Nadal suffered a four-set defeat to Nadal in the quarterfinal, in a match where he certainly didn't play his best tennis.
Now, Nadal has 22 Grand Slams, while Djokovic remains at 20.
Rusedski: Djokovic is angry
“The problem you have is, you have players who have the potential but winning is a totally different thing,” Rusedski said, as quoted on Tennishead.
“Making the finals is one thing, but you have to have this mindset that’s absolutely insane these days because of the big three or four we’ve had over the generations. Djokovic is angry because he hasn’t won a slam this year and the way he went out to Rafa in the French Open will have hurt him.

Those three guys at the moment have separated themselves from the pack.” Djokovic hasn't played any tournaments leading up to Wimbledon but he is expected to play a match or two at the Hurlingham exhibition this week.
Djokovic is a six-time Wimbledon champion and he has won the tournament's past three editions. Nadal is also set to compete at Wimbledon and Djokovic the pressure is on Djokovic to deliver at The All England Club.
