Toni Nadal has confirmed that Rafael Nadal is doing well with his foot but added Novak Djokovic is still the main favorite for the Wimbledon title. After undergoing a foot treatment back home in Spain, Nadal is ready to compete at Wimbledon.
Nadal has had a great 2022 season so far as he is in the running for a Calendar Grand Slam. Now, Nadal is hoping to win Wimbledon and capture a record 23rd Grand Slam title. However, that will be easier said than done as Djokovic – who has won the tournament's past three edition – is also set to compete at The Championships.
Uncle Toni feels his nephew will be really dangerous if he advances to the second week at Wimbledon. “Rafa is well. I think he will be one of the favorites, but the main one is still Djokovic and there will be Hurkacz or Berrettini.
If he's lucky enough to go through the first week, he becomes highly competitive in the second,” Toni Nadal told Radio Marca, as revealed by Mario Boccardi.

Nadal arrives to London
Last Monday, Nadal kicked off his preparation for Wimbledon.
After practicing on grass for five days in Mallorca, Nadal addressed reporters. There, Nadal said he was glad done with the work done on the practice courts in Mallorca. “I’m happy with the way I was able to practice the week here.
I am excited to travel, to try to play Wimbledon after three years,” Nadal said. “I was able to practice the whole week, increasing a little bit the amount of work. So I’m positive about that”. Nadal is set to compete at Wimbledon for the first time since 2019.
Back then, Nadal reached the Wimbledon semifinal before losing to Roger Federer. Nadal is a two-time Wimbledon champion, having won the title in 2008 and 2010.
